TAGLS

About us

Tagls is built on one conviction: financial privacy should be a default, not a feature.

We are building a stega platform for digital ownership, identity and products. A TAGL image holds encrypted wallet keys on the owner's device. The payment network verifies transactions without learning account balances, and owners can provide records for independent verification.

Principles we build by

You hold the keys. Your TAGL stores encrypted wallet keys, which the wallet unlocks locally on your device. Supported wallets offer an optional encrypted backup. TAGLS cannot reissue your PINs or recovery phrase.

Privacy has defined boundaries. The payment network verifies transactions without learning account balances. Other services process the information required for their functions, as described in their privacy policies, including the Tagl ID Privacy Policy. Wallet owners can provide transaction records for independent verification.

No advertising tracking. No analytics scripts, no advertising cookies and no advertising profiles. See the Cookie Policy.

Standards over inventions — where the world already has good answers. Sign-in is standard OpenID Connect, not a proprietary scheme. The cryptography that must be novel is the point of the project; everything else should be boring and interoperable.

Honesty about trade-offs. Self-custody requires you to protect your original TAGL and verified backups. An enabled encrypted backup can replace a lost or damaged file, but opening the restored file still requires a PIN. TAGLS cannot reissue PINs or recovery phrases. The FAQ explains these access and recovery conditions.

How the project operates

Tagls is developed by a small independent team and operated by its developers as a project — there is no incorporated company yet. TAGLS Wallet participation is currently subject to private beta admission, with applications through Tagl ID under the conditions in the FAQ. As the project matures, a legal entity will assume its obligations, and the Terms of Service describe how that transition is announced.

Applying and admission are free. Network operations have fees, as described in the FAQ. The anchor's source code is open; an independent security audit is planned after the private beta, with its results to be announced separately.
